Vol2. 1. David Adamthwaite
Roll up, roll up! Stop the pressers! You’ll never guess what the Prosperity Wealth Marketing Team has got in store for you today…
IT’S THE FIRST POST IN OUR NEW SERIES OF TIME MACHINE POSTS!!!
Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be sharing with you some little tips, drawing directly on the experience of our Adviser team.
Instead of asking our advisers to think about what they’d tell their “21-year old selves” for inspiration, like we did in the last #ProsperityTimeMachine series… this time we’re asking them to think about what they would tell their 30-year old selves instead.
First up, it’s Dave Adamthwaite. Check out his pearls of wisdom below…
“Understand that things will continually change. The only thing that you can be certain of is that thing’s will change. Believe in your own ability to adapt, and believe in your ability to make a success of your life - whatever success looks like to you.
Everyone can do well, it’s just about believing that you’re as good, if not better, as the others. Work out what it is you want from life, and go and seek it out. Nobody is going to bring you everything you’ve ever wanted and just deliver it to your doorstep. You need to go out there and take it.
This is all well and good… but you need to have a plan for how you’re going to get it. When people talk about a five year plan it can often be laughed off. Don’t laugh it off, make one. You don’t need to tell anyone what it is or boast about it, just have a think about what you want your life to look like in five years. Not just from a career point of view either; think about your job, your housing situation, your lifestyle, your relationship / family situation.
From a purely financial perspective; as long as you can make things affordable, don’t be afraid of big numbers on a mortgage. Yes, you’re borrowing hundreds of thousands of pounds, but as life changes, you’ll be able to adapt.”
