With the Conservative Government making significant cuts to the public sector and emergency services, there has never been a more pressing time for people working in these areas to get specially tailored advice and guidance.
In response to the changes faced by public sector employees, Prosperity provides A Brighter Future (ABF) Seminar programme to deliver specialist financial planning solutions, help with changes in career, becoming self employed and making the most of retirement.
We have already joined forces with Police Federations and a number of other bodies to ensure the service meets the specific requirements of people working in this arena, with over 500 individuals already benefitting from the dedicated approach.
The ‘ABF’ difference also comes from the skills and experience of the two independent financial advisers behind the idea. David Adamthwaite and Keith Batham who decided to specialise in public sector support in 2010 after austerity measures saw a growing number of clients considering life after the ‘job’.
Since then, the duo have been developing content for the seminars and, with the backing and resources of Prosperity, can advise clients on:
- Residential Mortgages
If you are interested in getting together following a seminar, one of our advisers will arrange a one-to-one meeting to discuss your individual requirements. All of this is in complete confidence and so far we have made a difference to people working in the police, ambulance and fire service, the care sector and the NHS, including doctors and dentists.
“We worked very closely with ABF to provide a plethora of help and advice based around retirement planning and retiring officers re-entering the job market. This has resulted in the organisation of a number of seminars, which were extremely well received by the Police Officers who attended and who, in turn, provided excellent customer feedback and tribute ABF has been so successful in working with our members that we frequently receive requests to expand our business relationship with the team and to provide further, regular, seminars.” Secretary, West Midlands Police Federation
Due to the success of this initiative, ABF is planning to extend its seminar programme to cover workers in the public sector and other emergency services.
We offer independent financial solutions advice across the UK. This is reinforced by most of our work coming through personal introductions from clients and recommendations from solicitors, accountants and other finance professionals. But don’t take our word for it…here are just a few examples of how we have helped…
We reviewed our financial situation through ABF and part of the advice was to seek compensation for RPI/PPI from our mortgage…this resulted in us getting back £5118.14 in compensation. D & P M
“I was approaching retirement after 30 years in the Police Force and decided to visit one of the seminars held by ABF at Guardians House.
I wasn’t really sure what I was expecting and I’d certainly got no fixed ideas on how to make best use of the lump sum I was about to receive. This all changed after listening to the presentation; it was in a language that was easy to understand and the future opportunities looked really positive.
Following the event I arranged to see Prosperity and we had a good two-hour meeting, which resulted in the creation of a portfolio of investments that offered good returns and spread the risk.
Throughout the process, everything was communicated clearly, all my questions were answered and we’re completely happy with the decisions we’ve made. Better still, ABF keep in touch with you regularly to make sure you don’t miss out on any opportunities.”J P, former Sergeant with West Midlands Police
“We work very closely with ABF on delivering the specialist police seminars and have introduced a number of our clients to them in recent months.
“Their attention to detail and desire to build long-term relationships with people make the company a natural fit with ours and we’ve seen particular success in using them to advise our clients on maximising the return on their investments.” J Z, MD at Solicitors
